My primary use of it was as a scribe, but I like that it has a compass mode that is bigger than my standard compasses, though I haven't had the opportunity to try it out in that configuration yet.

I am very pleased with this scribe multi-tool that comes in a nice plastic case that includes multiple colored leads And a measuring tape. The scribe is easy to use and adjust. There is even a sharpener inside the pencil cap. The lead is of good strong quality. I found this product to be a good value and very useful.

I have used these to mark my lines to cut wood and metal projects for the inside of our RV. While marking a straight line, measure the distance, mark it and drag it along, making a perfectly straight line to reference my cuts. Recommend this tool for all your project needs. Very easy to use.
